Is Orissa a national shame ???This is a featured page

In view of the latest development in Orissa's communal violence situation in which some churches were allegedly burnt and some innocent people were allegedly killed, can we call Orissa a national shame?

"ORISSA IS A NATIONAL SHAME" READS A BANNER OF THE DELHI CHRISTIAN BODY AT THE JANTAR MANTAR HERE. Apparently the Delhi Christian Body (Delhi Isai Samudaya), which has raised the banner, has been protesting alleged killing of innocent Christians in Orissa.

Please unleash hate campaign against terrorists, anti-socials and fanatics who are actually waging a war against the society. They are enemies of civilization. They cannot be belonging to any religion. Any organization justifying a criminal act cannot be a social organization. The present situation demands that let all cooperate with the administration and police in their investigation to find out the truth in Orissa. When the political parties are busy in mud-slinging among themselves, the religious bodies are also running hate campaign against communities and states. Here is a brighter example. How can they stoop so low? Are they really concerned for the Orissa Christian tribals. Are they really crying for them? If the answer is yes, let them better go and serve them. But who gave them the license to hate Orissa as a national shame.

In view of continuous terrorism in the Kashmir valley, can we call Kashmir a national shame? In Karnataka, churches were also burnt, can we call Karnataka a national shame? There have been a number of violent incidents in Delhi and can we call Delhi a national shame? Can we call Gujarat a national shame?

Can we call India a national shame because Babri masjid was demolished?

My blood boils not because I am an Oriya, but because I am an Indian. Orissa is a part of India. Raising a banner "Orissa is a national shame" is against the spirit of national integration.

As a true Indian I say "Shame on those people who can call Orissa a national shame. I believe these are the real criminals who espouse communal violence and unleashing hate campaign. Let them prove me wrong by seeking an apology to the people of Orissa? If they fail to do so, we will unleash hate campaign against those communal leaders, who are worst criminals than even the murderers or rapists."

I also do not understand how police is tolerating this? It is clearly an offence under Section 153 of the Indian Penal Code. I request all my brothers and sisters to pass on this message amongst others and please register a protest as it is against the spirit of our national integration.

I REQUEST ALL MY FRIENDS IN DELHI TO RISE ABOVE THEIR PARTY IDEOLOGIES AND FAITHS AND BELIEF AND CONDEMN THIS ACTION OF RAISING SUCH AN UGLY BANNER AS IT SPEAKS VOLUMES ABOUT THE MINDSET OF THOSE ORGANISERS".
