Blame it on PakistanThis is a featured page

Time past and Santa was busy in India
doing whatever he could
His reward was his sense of achievement
and the satisfaction from doing good
but one fearful night from the darkness
mean spirited men did arrive
in their hearts there was bitterness and hatred
and they burnt poor Santa alive

and when the night was over
and Santa was no more
beside him lay the ashes
of the small children he cared for
They too had been the victims of the fundamentalist crew
And the dispossessed who had been there
they told of what they knew
but the government did not believe that
what they said was true

And the government sent a government team
with all the government power
to visit upon the scene of the crime
and they stayed a meagre hour.
And on return they contradicted
the utterances of the poor
They said, “There is no connection with us at all
on this we are really sure”

Then all the politicians gathered
and condemned the heinous crime
and said that all the killers
“Were the other parties supporters, not mine!
It cannot be that the Killers are Indians in any way
Behind this grisly murder is a foreign hand at play
Why this is a nasty incidence
designed to destabilise the government of the day”.

And there are no words for decent men and women to
philosphise this disgrace, or voice our secular fears
Goodness hides behind it’s gates
Now is the time for our tears
